Strategy Sessions
How Family Law Strategy Sessions Work
Get Legal Help Without Handing Over Your Case
If you are handling your own Texas family-law case, you do not have to figure everything out on your own or pay a law firm to take over the entire case. Legal Guidance for Self-Represented Clients gives you focused access to an experienced family-law attorney when you need help understanding your options, making decisions, or preparing for what comes next.
What You Are Really Buying
This is more than a general consultation. You are purchasing focused attorney time to work through the specific questions, decisions, documents, or challenges in your case.
Bring what you need help with—whether that is a legal issue, documents you want reviewed, questions about your options, or an upcoming hearing or mediation. We use the session to help you understand where things stand, identify your options, spot potential problems, and develop a practical plan for what comes next.
Experienced Legal Guidance
Work directly with a Texas family-law attorney on strategy, procedure, documents, settlement, evidence, hearings, mediation, or next steps.
You Stay in Control
You remain responsible for your case and choose the specific issues where you want attorney guidance.
Clear, Upfront Cost
Choose the amount of attorney time you want before you begin. No traditional litigation retainer and no open-ended billing relationship.
The Process Is Simple
Book the amount of time that fits what you need, come prepared with the relevant information, and use the meeting as a focused working session on your case.
Choose Your Session
Select a 30, 60, 90, or 120-minute strategy session based on the complexity of the issue and how much you want to accomplish.
Schedule, Sign, and Pay Online
Choose an available appointment time, complete the limited-scope agreement, and submit payment securely online.
Come Prepared
Have the important orders, pleadings, deadlines, evidence, settlement proposals, and questions related to the issue ready. Prioritize what you most want to accomplish.
Meet With Your Attorney
Your consultation is held remotely by Google Meet. We use the purchased time to work through the issue, review relevant material, answer questions, and help you prepare your next steps.
Choose the Amount of Help You Need
Sessions Start at $195
Start with a focused question or book more time for strategy, documents, settlement analysis, or hearing preparation. You choose the amount of attorney time before the meeting.
- 30 Minutes — $195: A focused question, procedural issue, order or document clarification, or help deciding the next immediate step.
- 60 Minutes — $375: A standard strategy session for a discrete issue, key documents, evaluating options, or preparing for an upcoming event.
- 90 Minutes — $550: More complicated issues, multiple documents, settlement analysis, evidence review, or detailed hearing or mediation preparation.
- 120 Minutes — $700: A deeper working session for complex strategy, substantial review, hearing preparation, or organizing multiple issues into a clear plan.
Why This Is Different From Trying to Do Everything Alone
Representing yourself does not mean you have to make every legal decision without experienced input. Family-law cases can involve unfamiliar procedure, unclear orders, evidentiary problems, difficult settlement decisions, and hearings where preparation matters.
A focused strategy session gives you a place to slow the problem down, identify what actually matters, and work through it with someone who has handled family-law cases in the real world.
More Than Internet Research
General information can explain a rule. An attorney can help you think about how the rule interacts with your facts, documents, options, and the decisions in front of you.
Less Than Full Representation
You are not automatically paying a law firm to manage every filing, email, deadline, and routine task. You purchase focused attorney time for the issues you choose.
What Can We Work On?
Strategy & Next Steps
Understand the issues, compare options, identify risks, and decide what you want to do next.
Documents & Orders
Review pleadings, proposed orders, settlement offers, discovery, court notices, or existing orders.
Court & Mediation Preparation
Organize evidence, think through testimony and exhibits, evaluate settlement positions, and prepare for the issues likely to matter.
Is Attorney Guidance a Good Fit?
It May Be a Good Fit If...
You are willing to remain responsible for your case but want professional help with important questions, documents, strategy, settlement, mediation, or court preparation.
It is especially useful when you know what you need help with and want to spend your legal budget on that specific issue.
You May Need Broader Representation If...
You need an attorney to take over the case, enter an appearance, manage deadlines and discovery, communicate with opposing counsel, negotiate for you, or appear in court on your behalf.
Attorney Guidance is designed to support you while you handle your own case—not to quietly become full representation.
This is a limited-scope legal advising service. Unless separately agreed in writing, Turner Law Firm does not enter an appearance, manage your case, file documents for you, communicate with the court or opposing counsel for you, or appear in court on your behalf.
Get Help With the Part You Need
Choose the amount of attorney time that fits your situation and use the session to work on the questions, strategy, documents, or preparation that matter to you.
Book online, select your appointment time, sign the limited-scope agreement, and meet with your attorney by Google Meet. You stay in control of the case; we help you understand it, prepare for it, and make better-informed decisions.
